Klaus has got crazy
September 22nd, 2009 by martinehlCzech president Vaclav Klaus, who I consider more and more not MY president, is in the US. Beside his obvious remarks on climate change he delivered a speech and then interview to conservative daily Washington Times, where he mentioned with reference to EU: “We now live in a much more regulated society than we were 20 years ago, just before the fall of communism,” he said, a situation that the president, widely known as a Euro-skeptic, called “frustrating.” Whole article you can find here.
That I consider scandalous and would-be base for impeachment if anything like that would be included in Czech constitution (unfortunately, it isn’t). But maybe, there are some ways how to impeach president who will bloc all EU reform with refusing to sign Lisbon treaty after Irish referendum and after his Polish friend and counterpart Lech Kaczyński will sign. After president was involved in the plot overthrowing Czech governement in March during EU presidenty, we are increasingly getting into Klaus trap in Czechia, where politics is in stalemate and politicians do not trust each other beside all usual standards of political distrust.
